Unraveling Instinct Injury and
Reclaiming Lost Power

by Mar 22, 2022

There are some wounds that cut so deep that soul retrieval alone is not enough to heal. In many of these cases, the client’s natural instincts have been thwarted. (The term instinct injury was coined by Clarissa Pinkola Estés in her book “Women Who Run with the Wolves.”) From a shamanic perspective, a forceful, volatile, or harsh energy at the time of the soul loss leaves an opening for unhealthy beliefs or defense mechanisms to take root. Shamanic practitioners can use a technique similar to curse unraveling to release this instinct injury and the limiting agreements that arose from it, followed by soul retrieval to restore the client’s power and light.

    Wonderful!

Thank you for sharing this approach. It beautifully answers the question of why soul retrieval alone sometimes does not work.
