ABOUT THIS AUDIO
Afghanistan is a country at the crossroads of Central and South Asia. It is bordered by Pakistan to the east and south; Iran to the west; Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to the north and China to the northeast. People have been settling here for at least 50,000 years.
The people and region of Afghanistan have been suffering from the tolls of war, terrorism and conflict for a very long time. This land and its people have lived under armed conflict and occupation for many years.
We are asked to tend the suffering of armed conflict, war and occupation for Afghanistan. From a neutral place of non-judgment, Joan Levergood guides us through this tending using the Shamanism Without Borders process.
HOW TO PREPARE
Create sacred ceremonial space in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed by other people or loud noises. Set up a small altar, light a candle, and have your shamanic tools nearby. You are welcome to rattle or drum along during the shamanic journey process.
