Tending to the Unhoused

The number of unhoused people in the US reached an all-time high of more than half a million people in 2023. Many people are suffering as a result of being unhoused.  People lose their housing due to poverty, mental or physical illness, lack of affordable housing, drug addiction, unemployment, discrimination and a lack of services.
Join Shamanism Without Borders Community Leader, Vicki Snyder-Young for this Shamanism Without Borders tending. From a place of neutrality, we will seek to learn what each of us can do to ease suffering as a result of being unhoused.

 

HOW TO PREPARE

Create a sacred ceremonial space where you will not be disturbed during the tending. You could create an altar, light a candle, drum or rattle along if you wish, or simply participate in the journey work.

Vicki Snyder-Young is a Shamanic Practitioner, Reiki Master Teacher and Professional Psychic Medium, located in Rochester, NY.  She is a Shamanism Without Borders Community Leader.  Vicki is a graduate of the Four Winds Society where she studied Peruvian Shamanism. Vicki is an active  member of Wind Daughters Bear Tribe Panther Lodge and the Medicine Wheel teachings.  She is currently on a Journey Around The Wheel combining North and South American Traditions. Her mission is to be a bridge between the medicines and create continuity between them.  Mitakuye Oyasin – we are all related. Vicki’s passion is working with the land and all it’s children.  She is interested in helping others to find Shamanism and to learn the healing and freedom it can bring through the connection to all that is. She offers various events, such as journey circles, drum circles, New Moon and Full Moon Ceremonies.
