Thank you Lally for this post-Ireland trip group. Wanted to share that I spent after our days together a couple of days in Slane and was amazed by Newgrange and Knowth. It was a full trip for me!
It was really nice getting together with people interested in the same things as me!
On the other hand I am intrigued in making a bone rattle as I felt it was a profound tool. Would like to know if Jaime and Patty encourage us to make our own, buy one online or if it requires a specific way in making it that it is best to be guided through it? (where I live I can only get hold of porc ribs, lamb ribs,…). Difficult to find bones from wild animals….Thank you and big hug to you all from Spain!!!

Hi Filippa,
The basic answer to your question is to ask Spirit, or your helping spirits whether they support you making a bone rattle. And you can ask the animal what kinds of powers it may bring to your work. Deer bones bring a different energy than pork or lamb. There really aren’t any rules about making the rattle besides being respectful to the spirit of the animal and asking its permission to use it in a rattle. I don’t know if you’ve tried using the internet to purchase deer bones, but there are many stores that have them. The good thing with that is that they will arrive cleaned and ready to work with. (Patti and I harvest our bones from a local “deer graveyard” so we need to clean them and prepare them.)Good luck!
