About me |
Irma StarSpirit Turtle Woman is a Medicine Woman, born in Brooklyn, her father from Yucatan, Mexico & mother from Moca, Puerto Rico, as she honors the way of the curanderas “healers” from her Maya & Taino ancestry.
Irma uses energy healing combined with sound, crystal, plants and herbs to assist her. She has a 1-year Shamanic Apprenticeship program named the “MedicineWay”, which is now going on it’s 8th year. Her style of medicine is accompanied by prayer work and traditional indigenous ceremonies to heal her community with heart. She has taken care of a NYC Community Healing Circle for over 16 years.
She has been practicing shamanism for 20 years, studied with teachers such as Tom Cowan, Susana Tapia Leon, Lewis Mehl-Madrona, Sergio Magaña, and many others. Holding honor to those teachers that have transitioned to the stars, Ipupiari Makunaiman & Dine Elder Uncle Melvin Betsille.

Degree / Credentials
Irma is a shamanic, crystal practioner/teacher, a Reiki Master/Teacher, Certified Crystal Healer, Toltec Dreamworker/Dreamweaver & an Ordained Minister. Her exploration of indigenous medicine and healing has brought her in contact with wisdom keepers and teachers from around the world places like Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Greenland, Ireland and deeper into North American Indigenous studies with Dine, Cherokee, Hopi and Lakota Elders.
