Miyo Kisikaw~ Good Day~
I am named Monique Wilson. One of my family’s traditional names is Karhiio. My People are the Michel Callihoo First Nation of Treaty Six Territory in Alberta, Canada. I live, work & play on the Traditional Land of the Katzie & Kwantlen Nation in BC.
Ninanaskomin. I am grateful.
I am a Mother, Partner of 33 years, and a Kokum. (Grandmother in Neyihaw) I have been walking a shamanic path for over 30 years…and Journeying for Medicine for others for over 25 years. I poured a Women’s Sweat Lodge for 15 years, and brought Medicine Circles into the local prisons. I still facilitate a Women’s Healing Circle that has held strong for 12 years. I am grateful to be of service. Hiy! Hiy! Thank you~
My Sacred Teachers include: Uncles & Aunties of the Katzie, Tahltan, Tibetan, Norse, Lakota & Cree Nations. (many prefer anonymity) Michael & Sandra Harner, Betsy Bergstrom, Christina Pratt are also beloved Teachers of mine. I have had opportunity to sit with many Elders who shared Teachings generously along the way.
I share what I have been taught to share.
I currently practice in my home, a beautiful healing space on 6 acres just 60-80 minutes East of Vancouver. I offer personal healing that includes Integrative Hypnosis, Somatic Experiencing (trauma responsive therapy) & Indigenous techniques of Extraction. I hold Ceremony & provide Shamanic Healing that includes: Ancestral Healing, Curse Unravelling, Soul Retrieval & the Lifting of interfering Spirits, House Clearing & Indigenous Teachings. I facilitate the Women’s Circles at this location as well.
Personal sessions are available over Zoom. Online classes & Circles are being created as I write this.
Once a year I hold a Drum Birthing Weekend workshop. We gather hides from hunters over the Winter. Then we gather to clean, de-hair, scrape the hides. Over the next 4 days we Pray, Journey, Laugh, Work, and we stink a little…lol, we also Feast, and make Offerings… then we Birth our Drums. Resurrection, from Death to Life. One of my favorite offerings. All Nations, all People are Welcome. This is announced on social media, and on my website as well.
