TENDING TO AFGHANISTAN

by May 18, 2021

ABOUT THIS AUDIO

Afghanistan is a country at the crossroads of Central and South Asia. It is bordered by Pakistan to the east and south; Iran to the west; Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to the north and China to the northeast. People have been settling here for at least 50,000 years.

The people and region of Afghanistan have been suffering from the tolls of war, terrorism and conflict for a very long time. This land and its people have lived under armed conflict and occupation for many years.

We are asked to tend the suffering of armed conflict, war and occupation for Afghanistan. From a neutral place of non-judgment, Joan Levergood guides us through this tending using the Shamanism Without Borders process.

HOW TO PREPARE

Create sacred ceremonial space in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed by other people or loud noises. Set up a small altar, light a candle, and have your shamanic tools nearby. You are welcome to rattle or drum along during the shamanic journey process.

Joan Levergood

Joan has over 16 years experience as a shaman, animal communicator and reiki master. When first introduced to reiki and shamanic journeying, she was working in the clinic of an animal shelter. She used her reiki and shamanic skills to support the lifesaving work of dedicated and talented veterinarians, staff and volunteers. Along the way she saw many miracles and learned how to use reiki and shamanic practices in emergency situations to help in even the most hopeless cases. Battling death and cruelty is a difficult job, and Joan used her shamanic skills to help cope during many difficult times. Over the years Joan began working with people in her home and long distance with clients from across the country. She has studied with Tom Cowen, Betsy Bergstrom, and others along the way. She is called to tend the dead and clear energies from physical places. A longtime resident of Chicago, Joan already has experience tending sites after violent tragedy. website: helpingspirits.net
