A Selection of Daily Spiritual Practices
As though flying in from above, I saw a beautiful, dark green fir forest below. A heavy, white-grey mist lay quietly over the entire woodland where nothing moved, as if in silent prayer.
Upon descending down onto the path, the tall trees on either side sheltered me. I continued onward, feeling safe as the eyes of many woodland spirits welcomed me into their homeland.
Proceeding down the path toward the deep azure-colored lake, a tree spirit called to me from the right side, bidding me forth to sit under her mammoth canopy that that rose far above into mist.
It is so peaceful here. So unified in its Being-ness.
I waited for my Spirit Ally to appear, not knowing what would happen, if anything at all.
As if in response to my thoughts, two very dark black eyes appeared from out of the mist and held my eyes fast while the rest of its subtle body coalesced about those shinning black portals, until at last the figure of a very large Raven appeared in her fullness.
“I know those eyes”, I exclaimed to myself, “where have I seen them before”?!
“Yes, of me you do well know”, for I AM the Guardian of Priestesses, and have long tended and protected your kind.”
“Ngolwen!”, I cried out in joy. “Ngolwen!”
I was speechless now, for there before me was a dear, long lost friend from a novel I had written many years ago – which now lay lonely and forgotten on a bookshelf in the den.
She, the Mother Spirit of Ravens (the ‘Naltikii’ in their language), waited patiently for me to calm myself, so we could proceed. Therein, I gave myself over to the task at hand – the giving of sheer, unadulterated gratitude to The Mother, which encircled the entire world, and reached down to the very heart-core of the Earth. Then some healing with ‘pure light consciousness’ (
as I have been taught in my Norse Shamanic studies)
ensued to transform the evil forces that now threaten our world.
Finally, I bowed to and bid Ngolwen adieu and returned from a wonderful journey. I had a sudden rush of healing energy within myself, and these words came forth from a voice within:
“All homage to:
The Beauty of Mother Earth,
The Strengthening of Mother Earth,
And the Furtherance of Her Brilliance as
She proceeds in Her rightful‘ Journey to Ascendance’ in the vast, Stellar realms of the night sky.”
