Steve Patterson is a professional recovery coach, life coach, and former substance abuse counselor. In his approach, he blends ancestral spiritual teachings of Shamanism with contemporary scientific understandings of human behavior and psychotherapy.
Collectively, an Exestinctial Coach who has worked with many people over the years.
Most of his work has been with women and men, mostly women, who have been out in the world for quite some time. Several things are often going on, from cutting back on drinking to recovering from divorce or transition. Sometimes people have a little bit of a lot of things and want to talk.
Other work has centered around substance abuse and recovery. Steve has experience in addiction, Combat PTSD, attempted suicide with teens and veterans, divorce/custody, addiction/custody, pre and post-incarceration, and terminal illness.
Following transplant surgery to remove cancer in 2019, he began traveling in Latin America to experience and learn about the many indigenous traditions. Most of his time has been in Colombia and Mexico.
He is the author of one book, “Ths is How it Feels to Heal, a shamanic journey through cancer, recovery and life challenges,” and is currently writing another.
