Join Board of Directors member Dr Karen Ward and husband John Cantwell, co-directors of www.slianchroi.ie online from Ireland for a traditional Irish Celtic honoring of peak darkness at the return of the light. Earlier at dawn, both will have led sunrise community ritual at the UNESCO Neolithic sacred site of Newgrange Cairn in County Meath. The chamber of the great passage tomb is lit by the first golden rays of the rising Sun at Winter Solstice. John and Karen will bring both an energetic and a literal flame of the ceremonial light from that rare moment to this SSP celebration. As we gather on the darkest day, there is a renewal of light in the world and ourselves. Make this cosmic turning point personally healing as Karen and John call forth ancient ancestral blessings that fortify mind, body and soul in the epicentre of mid-Winter.

HOW TO PREPARE
Create sacred ceremonial space in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed by other people or loud noises. You may want to make a small altar, light a candle and/or have your drum or rattle available, as well as paper and pen if you like. Make sure your place is comfortable and allow yourself to be fully present.
