Schedule: (Feel free to join for just the journey if you prefer)

  • 3-4:15pm: Shamanic Journey + Sharing Circle
  • 4:15-6pm: Potluck + Art Social

What is Shamanic Journeying?

Shamanic journeying is an active practice, similar to but distinct from meditation. I’ll guide you through the journey with the quick beat a hoop drum, which has been proven to induce a theta brainwave state. Theta waves are found in meditation and deep sleep, opening the door to vivid dreams, heightened intuition, creativity, and expanded consciousness. This state helps rewire neural connections and reconnects us with our true essence. The theta state is often referred to as the “flow state.”

Journeying connects us with our spiritual support- you may know that energy as spirit guides, power animals, Universe, Spirit, God, Oneness, Higher Self, etc.  Through journeying, we receive wisdom, guidance, and healing for personal growth.

Journeys can be peaceful and uplifting, or they may challenge you to confront areas of growth. Shamanic journeying can be a powerful tool to intentionally transform your life.

Journeys can be highly metaphorical, and while they often bring clarity, empowerment and peace, sometimes the teachings can be intense. What’s important to remember is that when you step into a journey space with me, you are held in a safe, clean container, so you are always safe, in control, and supported by Divine energy that has your highest and best good at heart.

Afterward, you’ll have time to write about your experience, share, and ask questions. I’ll also share resources for further exploration of your journey and shamanic practice, as well as integration tips and how to work with power animals, should one come to you during your journey.

After the Journey..

We’ll connect over a potluck and creative projects, should you choose to bring a project to work on. Things like journaling, writing, sketching, coloring, etc can be a fun way to process and explore your journey on a deeper level.

What to Bring

  • Journal and pen
  • If you want to join the potluck, please bring a dish to share
  • Optional: yoga mat and/or blanket to lay on the floor to journey
  • Optional: an eye covering (this can be helpful for blocking out light as we journey)
  • Optional: Creative project of your choosing

Kids

Kids as young as 5 have journeyed with us several times. If you’re not sure how your child will respond, please grab a spot near the door in case you need to exit early. In this case, you’re welcome to hang out and wait for the group to join you in the dining area until the journey wraps up.

Creating Sacred Space

In the spirit of fostering authentic connection and honoring this sacred space:

  • Please do no promote your business, disperse flyers, etc, as doing so can create doubt and confusion regarding your intentions for stepping into this space with us.
  • Please keep what’s shared in our circle confidential.
  • No politics please. This allows us to fully honor the gift of time and space that we have to share our spiritual experiences and ideas and to connect on a deeper, more vulnerable level.
  • Avoid recreational use of substances the day of our gathering. For your own spiritual development, refraining from substances for 24 hours prior, and after, is also recommended.
