New Moon Ceremony: Sacred Activism

August 29, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm MDT

SACRED ACTIVISM

EXTENDING CARE TO THE VULNERABLE FROM THE INNER SANCTUARY OF THE HEART

LED BY: Dr. Diana Quinn Ink’lach

This new moon brings an upgrade to the operating system of the physical body and to the planet, opening up new ways of thinking, working, and communicating. Bringing innovation to our conscious awareness can revolutionize how we relate to and shape the world. In this month’s new moon ceremony, we’ll clear out old patterns and thought forms to make room for something new, and anchor in the revelatory potential of this Uranian-influenced new moon. We’ll then offer shamanic support to those who are most affected by the instability that accompanies turbulence and rapid change: refugees, asylum seekers, and survivors of climate disaster, political violence, and persecution.

PART ONE – INVOCATION AND CLEARING

We invite assistance from our allies to break up patterns that restrict our hearts, confine our creativity, and limit our thinking. Assisted by the rattle and tobacco, we will engage in a Toltec breathwork practice to illuminate our consciousness with the sun and release the shadow. We will cultivate the inner sanctuary of the heart.

PART TWO – ANCHORING AND THE WORK

Collectively we will anchor in revolutionary consciousness, and transition to being of service. Through a drum journey we will offer attention and care, with the support of the elementals and our allies, to vulnerable human and more-than-human beings. Through the inner sanctuary of the heart, we send care to our entire human family, including those who have been enveloped by hatred and fear.

PART THREE – GRATITUDE, AND LETTING GO

In these turbulent times, transition is inevitable, a “just” transition is not.

HOW TO PREPARE

Participants should make a small altar, light a candle and have their own tools available to drum or rattle along. We recommend being in a location where you can experience a ceremonial, peaceful space (not in your car, restaurant or public place).

These New Moon Ceremonies are supported by Shamanism Without Borders. SWB is a network of shamanic practitioners who provide rapid response to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, war, pollution, and anything that causes disruption and suffering to humanity, to the animal and plant life, and the earth’s delicate bio-system. For more information about SWB visit https://shamanicpractice.org/shamanism-without-borders/

Each ceremony will be recorded and made available on the website following the ceremony for those who want to listen at a later time or more than once. An email with the audio recording will be sent out as a reminder.
