Gathering September 16-18, 2022 at
Canonicus Camp & Conference Center
54 Exeter Road
Exeter, RI 02822

Gathering Vision Statement: To weave our individual threads of experience and practices into a collective network that is actively engaged both locally and globally in the pursuit of justice, liberation, and support for our planet and all it’s creatures.
We are hopeful and excited that we will finally be getting to meet. For those of you that have registered already, thank you for your patience over the last couple of years. Registration is open and we are fine tuning the program. This event was cancelled twice. The first time RI State policy did not allow Gatherings. We had been offered a full refund but opted to reschedule. The second time, our numbers were low due to people’s reluctance to Gather. Canonicius was gracious enough to allow us to reschedule, but we are one year past our refund date, so please be aware, there are no refunds.
People have started registering again, we are looking forward to a good turnout , catching up with old friends and meeting new friends.
Since there is a private lake, Lake Adam on the grounds and we are just minutes from the Atlantic Ocean our program is about honoring the water.
We are going to host a monthly zoom meeting to get people excited for and prepared for the event. Our first meeting is this Thursday, May 26, at 7:00pm and will be held the 4th Thursday of the month from now until the Gathering. This month Patti Jean is going to help us learn a song that we will be using through out the weekend. Please send Jennifer an e-mail @ tungtox@gmail.com if you would like to participate and she will send you the link.
The title of the song is The Water Blessing Song by Nalini Blossom. Here is a link to a You Tube video of the song being performed.

Canonicous Camp and Conference Center
We have been asked why we changed locations for our Gathering. There are several answers. The first is that people requested we change geographical locations from time to time. Camp Little Notch was very remote with no public transportation. Exeter is accessible by bus, train, car and there is an airport in Providence. The Camp is a 4 hour trip by bus or train from NYC. Please let us know if you need help with travel arrangements the Facebook group may be the easiest way for people to figure out car pooling or to request a pick up from a train or bus station. Please e-mail if you are not on Facebook. We found a really cool link that tells you all the options to go anywhere: https://www.rome2rio.com/map/New-York/Exeter-RI-USA
While the grounds at Camp Little Notch were spectacular there were repeated problems on our surveys that management did not address. Latrines were a big issue for most people as were the co-ed showers. Canonicius has semi private rooms with a bathroom in each.
Canonicius has semi private rooms 2-3 people per room and single beds. You can request roomates. The “Keep Reading” link is to the Camp’s website, and the Lodge where our event will be held. The meeting rooms and bedrooms are all in the same building. We also have rooms available in addition to the conference room for our Shaman’s Market and Sampler’s
The food at Canonicius is very good, there is a cafeteria with several daily options. They do not accommodate special diets but usually have food that is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
