Join SSP Board Member, Dr. Karen Ward and John Cantwell of Sli An Chroi in Ireland for a Spring Equinox Ceremony honoring the East on the Medicine Wheel.

The Vernal or Spring Equinox is the precise moment of equal daylight and darkness. An Cónocht (The Equinox in Irish-Gaelic), for the shaman within, gifts us this magnificent natural synchronicity for deep renewal at this the festival of balance. The daylight of Spring is growing now and achieving equality with the declining hours of darkness. How we individually and collectively pause to come into alignment with the balance of Mother Earth and Father Sun is important. When the natural world turns towards a perfect moment of harmony, it is a poetic call to pitch ourselves into oneness with this sacred phenomenon – it is our nature to do so. Join us to celebrate Equinox as a memorable sacred recalibration in joyous community together.

Originally aired live on Thursday, March 20th

HOW TO PREPARE

Create sacred ceremonial space in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed by other people or loud noises. You may want to make a small altar, light a candle and/or have your drum or rattle available, as well as paper and pen if you like. Make sure your place is comfortable and allow yourself to be fully present.
