The Mesa, Ceremony, and Ritual

Since the first shaman walked the surface of the Earth Mother, shamans have helped people understand, recognize, and participate in spiritual life through ceremony and ritual. We explore and experience ceremonies for Birth, Rites of Passage, Marriage, Hand-fasting, Civil Unions, and Death. We engage in rituals to celebrate celestial events and learn of the many variations of the despacho and how, and when, to use them.  We delve into how to care for and work more deeply with our Mesas.

This is an advanced course for Mesa Carriers in the Andean tradition.
