Nature-Based Healing Course
December 11 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm MDT
Learn how to ground your shamanic practice in the healing energies of nature, and hone your capacity to interpret nature’s wisdom. Experience transformative healing in elemental ceremonies supported by a loving community.
Led by shamanic practitioner Liz Gomez, author of From the Depths of Creation: A Nature-Based Path to Healing, the course follows a Brazilian elemental framework that traces the cycle of life through 16 Orixás or energies of nature.
Learn how Fire, Earth, Water, and Air flow together to create the energetic foundations for our physical world. Discover the rich archetypes, spiritual qualities, and manifestations in nature associated with each element, and how they express themselves through you.
This 18-week course is recommended for anyone wishing to profoundly deepen their relationship with nature and explore the landscape of their soul for personal healing. It is an excellent resource for therapists or healers of all backgrounds who seek to expand their repertoire of healing methodologies. The course draws heavily on Brazilian shamanic practices (many of which originate in West Africa or indigenous South America) but is practical and designed for people who live a “modern” Western lifestyle.
The course will run from August 14 through December 11. All live sessions will be held via Zoom on Monday evenings from 7pm – 8:30pm Mountain Time and recorded for participants to access any time. Each week there will be new pre-recorded lessons and a short ritual or healing exercise to be done at home or in nature. We will also meet at Ewassa (near Denver, Colorado) for community ceremonies four times throughout the course, with separate virtual ceremonies for those who cannot attend in person.
The only course prerequisites are a love of nature, an open heart, and a curious mind.
