Welcome!
May the discovery of this information lead you to fruitful experiences on your path.
Our year-long Chakana Path class is meant to provide a comprehensive foundation of the Andean Spiritual Arts, as taught to Katy by her master teachers from Peru. Katy is dedicated to respecting the authenticity and knowledge as it was passed down to her, and will convey to her students exactly which lineages the teachings come from. While most of the information and teachings are from the Andean traditions, Katy does include the teaching of shamanic journeying using cross cultural shamanic techniques because she thinks this skill is important for you to have in your toolbox. These techniques will not detract from traditional Andean teachings, and are simply meant to enhance your ability to tap more readily into hypnogogic states of higher consciousness.
Katy is also highly enthusiastic about giving her students meaningful experiences while on their path of discovery. Intellectual knowledge is great, but experiential knowledge is the deepest way you can learn from Spirit. All classes contain lectures and handouts with important information, and students also engage extensively in energy and healing practices, including ceremonies and offerings – so that they can gain knowledge through their own experiences. And while this work is serious, Katy also understands the importance of being playful and experiencing joy upon this path. If you’ve ever been around P’aqos, then you know how playful they are, as they inject humor and joy into everything they do!
This class is appropriate for a variety of students, beginner and experienced alike. If you have never been exposed to shamanism, then this class is for you. If you’ve taken classes in the Cross Cultural or Four Winds brands of Shamanism, then this class is for you. If you’ve already learned how to shamanically journey, then this class is for you. And if you desire to explore higher consciousness and want to know how to do that on a very deep level, then this class is for you.
As you embark on this mystical journey of personal growth, you will traverse the Chakana through the Andean cosmos while cultivating and nourishing your true essence and full human potential – your Inka Seed. I invite you to explore yourself while finding your true purpose, and to flourish from within the Rainbow Mystery.

While some courses meet just a couple of times a year, we structure our classes differently. There will be 7 weekends over a 13 month period of time where you will come together with your Allyu, or your group, and engage in learning the Andean Healing Arts. The classes will meet every other month for 2 days over a weekend, shortening not only the time between exposure to new concepts, but also the connection with your peers. While I understand that online classes might be convenient, it pales in comparison to the experience of connecting and practicing the medicine with other people, which is very important to keep you flowing along on your path in a meaningful and productive way. Face-to-face collaboration and interaction with others is a very important part of the learning process. Additionally, the Andean masters’ teachings are firmly rooted in students having their own personal experiences of connecting to the land, performing ceremonies, and engaging in energy work. It’s difficult to feel the full effect of these experiences behind a computer screen.
There is also a student access only area on the website where you can log in and download copies of all written materials and resources for your class.
All classes will take place on a Saturday and Sunday on 64 acres of eco-conscious meadows, ponds, woods and gardens in Chatham County, North Carolina. They will begin at 9 am on both days with a goal of being finished by 6:00 pm (while admittedly sometimes students like to hang out longer sometimes, especially after fire ceremonies). You will be provided with meal breaks and will also have time throughout the day to contemplate, meditate, practice, and write while wandering through the woods or sitting next to one of our two ponds. And don’t forget to enjoy yourself by joking around and establishing connections with your classmates, which can be just as meaningful!
