Give yourself this adventure. You won’t regret it!
A rare opportunity to spend a week immersed in Shamanic practice with Jose, Lena and Anna in a powerful retreat at one of our favorite places on the planet. An hour north of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and near the little town of Sayulita is a small private rustic beach resort we have to ourselves for 6 days of heaven on earth. The theme of “Building a New Shamanic Support System” will be explored through lecture and experiential exercises. As we navigate the intensity and changes bombarding us these days, many of our tried and true support systems are simply not sufficient. This retreat is an opportunity to change perspective and build deep new relationships with Shamanic support that comes from a variety of allies, elementals and guides. In addition to a focus on personal work we will spend some time in “Shamanism Without Borders” practices in service to global events.
The food is fresh and fabulous, the well water drinkable out of every faucet, and being with like-minded people very nurturing and empowering. The retreat includes shared lodging, all meals, transportation to and from the PVR airport, a fun whale watching and swimming excursion by catamaran, outdoor classroom, fire ceremony on the beach, a personal healing with a local shaman, a Reconnective Therapy (RCT) treatment with Lena, morning chi gong with Jose, and plenty of beach, relaxation and community time.
In addition to great teachings and experiences, you will have plenty of free time to walk the beach, swim in the ocean, kayak to a nearby cove, explore the jungle, hang out in a hammock, nap and visit with each other. Most of the class time will be held in an exquisite yoga studio overlooking the ocean and all the chi gong will be on the beach!
Accommodations are in double rooms with one bed, double rooms with 2 singles, triple rooms with three singles and deluxe bungalows with a loft for 3-4. There are no single rooms. This is a beautiful small resort with limited rooms accommodating 26-28 participants. Price does not include special drinks, tips for the boat and the resort staff, taxis for optional excursions or your airfare to and from Mexico.
Meals are cooked on site with fresh ingredients (and the best homemade corn tortillas made daily you will ever taste) and dining is family style. The kitchen can accommodate gluten free, dairy free and vegetarians. The kitchen cannot accommodate food allergies to commonly used ingredients such as onions, garlic, tomato, peppers, vinegar, eggs and common Mexican spices. It is not an option to bring your own food (other than snacks) due to lack of available refrigeration and storage. There is always a good supply of fresh fruit as well as fresh fish at almost every meal.
The nearest airport is Puerto Vallarta (PVR) and we will schedule 3 pick up times in the afternoon of the 6th for session 1 and the 13th for session 2 by suburban taxi to bring you to the resort. If you wish to come in earlier or stay after the retreat we suggest staying in Sayulita or Puerto Vallarta or San Pancho for booking a place to extend your holiday. The retreat starts once everyone has arrived on the 6th or 13th with dinner and an evening program. So please make sure your flight arrives by 3PM at the latest if possible. Later arrivals may need to book your own transportation to the resort. Check in time is 3PM for those coming in from local areas by your own taxi (no earlier). We will officially end with an evening program on the 11th (session 1) and the 18th (session 2) for those of you with early flights the next day. If your flight is any earlier than 11:00AM you may need to arrange for a private taxi as the first one usually leaves at around 8 AM. Check out time is 11AM.
